Conditions for travel on the Thessaloniki - Meteora program with 2 nights:
Departure points for all announced dates:

• Plovdiv – from the OMV gas station at the Saint Petersburg Hotel – 05:00 a.m. 
• Pazardzhik – from the SHELL gas station – 06:00 a.m. 
• Sofia – Serdika Bus Station – 07:00 a.m.
• Dupnitsa – OMV gas station – 08:30 a.m.
• Blagoevgrad – Gazprom gas station (at the exit of the city) – 09:00 a.m.
• Sandanski – stop at the 'Happy Bar & Grill' restaurant – 10:00 a.m.

For departures from Plovdiv and Pazardzhik there is a surcharge of 17 and 15 euros per person in both directions, respectively! During busy periods, departure times may change!

Description / additional services

• Visit to the tomb museum of Philip the Great in Vergina with a local guide – 15 euros (not including entrance fee – for persons from 18 to 64.99 years old – 20 euros; for persons up to 17.99 years old – free of charge, for persons over 65 years old – 10 EUR from 01.10.2025 to 31.05.2025)
• Greek evening with live bouzouki music (Greek salad, main course with side dish, 1 ouzo, bottle of draft wine for two, water and dessert) – 35 euros, with a main course with fish (sea bream) – 40 euros.
• Surcharge for departure from Plovdiv – 17 euros per person in both directions; from Pazardzhik – 15 euros per person in both directions

Important information about the organization of additional excursions:
Minimum number of participants for additional excursions and visits to tourist sites: 15 people.
Additional excursions are conducted with a guide in Bulgarian.
The sequence of the excursions announced in the program is not guaranteed and may be changed depending on the opening hours of the historical sites and traffic in the visited settlements.
Additional excursions are requested and paid for during the driver's trip.
The agency reserves the right, if necessary, to make changes to the announced program.
Museum fees: Byzantine Museum in Thessaloniki (8 EUR); Archaeological Museum in Thessaloniki (8 EUR); entrance fee for the Meteora Monasteries (5 EUR for each); entrance fee for the tomb museum of Philip the Great in Vergina (for persons from 18 to 64.99 years – 20 EUR, for persons over 65 years 10 – EUR from 01.10 to 31.05.2025);
The indicated museum fees are of an informative nature according to your free time and interests.
The agency is not responsible for any changes to an entrance fee on site.
Stay fee in Greece
In the period March – October – 2 EUR per room per night in a 2* hotel, 5 EUR per room per night in a 3* hotel; 10 EUR per room per night in a 4* hotel; 15 EUR per room per night in a 5* hotel. The tourist city tax is mandatory paid on site by tourists.

Program

Day 1

Departure from Plovdiv at 05:30, from Sofia at 07:30 from Vasil Levski Stadium, from Dupnitsa at 09:00, from Blagoevgrad at 09:30, from Sandanski at 10:30 on the Kulata - Thessaloniki route. Panoramic tour of Thessaloniki with a local guide (included in the price) – The White Tower is one of the symbols of Thessaloniki, located on the beautiful coastal street; The monuments of Philip the Great and Alexander the Great; The Church of St. Cyril and Methodius; The Opera House; The Roman remains of the former fortified city, the Arch of Emperor Galerius, the Rotunda of St. George; Eptapyrgio – a fortress from which the most beautiful panorama over the city and the thermal bay opens (free time about 20 minutes for a walk and photos); The Church of St. Demetrius – the largest Orthodox church in Thessaloniki, guarding the relics of the saint. Free time. Departure to the Olympic Riviera. Accommodation in Paralia Katerinis. Overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast. Departure at 08:00 for Meteora. Arrival around noon. Visit to the Zervopoulos icon workshop with a talk in Bulgarian, telling about all the stages of icon making. Meteora is one of the most impressive places in Greece – a complex of huge rocks, formed over millions of years. After the establishment of a monastic community, the tops of the rocks became the home of the monks. With the power of their faith, they did the unthinkable – they began to build monasteries on their peaks. Today, there are six operating monasteries on the territory of the area. Visit to two of them. Departure to the Olympic Riviera. In the evening, optional: Greek evening in a traditional tavern with live bouzouki music (additional charge). Overnight stay.

Day 3

Breakfast. Check-out from the hotel and at 08:00 departure for Vergina – the first capital of the ancient Macedonian kingdom. Optional tour of the tomb museum with a local guide (additional charge) /about 45 minutes/ – one of the greatest discoveries in Greece in the 20th century. Unlooted royal tombs have been discovered, one of which is that of Philip of Macedon. Here the bones of the king placed in a golden urn, vessels used by the royal family, golden wreaths, etc. were found. Departure for Edessa – the city of water, famous for its beautiful waterfalls. Free time. Departure around 2:00 p.m. for Bulgaria. Arrival in Sofia in the evening.
