Night hike.<\/p>\n<p>Day 2<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Arrival in <strong>Vergina \u2013 the first capital of the ancient Macedonian kingdom<\/strong>: Optional visit to the tomb museum with a local guide (additional charge) \/about 45 minutes\/ \u2013 one of the greatest discoveries in Greece in the 20th century. Unlooted royal tombs were discovered, one of which belonged to Philip of Macedon. Here the bones of the king placed in a golden urn, vessels used by the royal family, golden wreaths, etc. were found. Departure for <strong>Edessa \u2013 the city of water<\/strong>, known for its beautiful waterfalls. Free time. Departure for Paralia Katerinis. Accommodation. Visit to the Zervopoulos icon workshop with a talk in Bulgarian, telling about all the stages of icon making. Meteora is one of the most impressive places in Greece \u2013 a complex of huge rocks, formed over millions of years. After the establishment of a monastic community, the tops of the rocks became the home of the monks. With the power of their faith, they did the unthinkable \u2013 they began to build monasteries on their peaks. Today, there are six operating monasteries on the territory of the area.
